Z's Roots & Radiance is a hair studio and botanical apothecary tending natural hair with care, ceremony, and ingredients you can read out loud. Founded by Zana in Petersburg, VA in 2018.

Generous appointment windows because rushed hands break strands. We'd rather book fewer heads and do them well.
Ingredients tell the truth.
NourishLocz is small-batch, made from things you'd recognize — castor, rosemary, honey, shea, marshmallow root, sage. Nothing we wouldn't put in our own hair.
The chair is a sanctuary.
You leave with your edges laid and your nervous system regulated. The studio is built for both.

Twenty years behind the chair. Trained as a chemist before she trained as a stylist — which is why every formula in NourishLocz has a real ingredient list, and why the studio still smells like rosemary and honey instead of fragrance oil.
